  • How to Be a Speaker for GMA SHRM

Greetings Prospective Presenters/Speakers!

The Greater Madison Area SHRM is looking for presenters for our 2013 programming calendar and we’d be interested in receiving your completed Call for Presentation (CFP) application.

Below are several documents to help you decide where your skills, knowledge, and experience can best be shared with our members:

  • Our Programming Topics for 2013. These are sorted by type of GMA SHRM programming venue (Strategic Summit, HR Toolbox, and HR Roundtable). We will select only five or six topics within each of these programming venues. Your completed CFP for any of these topics can help us make our final decisions regarding programming topics and speakers for 2013.

  • A GMA SHRM Programming Calendar Submission Form. This one-page document helps us know what topics and programming venue you are submitting for.

  • Our Call for Presenters Form. This document is the core document that you will use to describe your proposed program and make the case why and how your program is a good match to our programming priorities. We’re also interested in knowing your presentation background and if your topic has already received HR Certification Institute (HRCI) approval.

If you are interested in presenting a program for our chapter in 2013, please review our programming topics for 2013, and then submit the Programming Calendar Submission Form and the completed CFP no later than August 31, 2012.

The GMA SHRM Programming Committee will be meeting in early September to review submitted CFPs and determine which presenters best meet our programming needs. You will be notified no later than mid-October as to whether we have accepted your offer to present to our chapter.

Thank you for your interest in sharing your knowledge with GMA SHRM. We look forward to hearing from you!
