Two and Four Year Students Eligible
 
Greater Madison Area SHRM offers two $750 scholarships to students pursuing a career in human resources.   This is one of the easiest scholarships to apply for - so apply now!
 
Eligibility Requirements
  • Enrolled as a part time or full time student in a certificate or degree program, related to human resources at a Wisconsin college or university
  • Students who have already received full scholarships to attend a university are not eligible to apply
Scholarship Selection Criteria
  • All-around academic standing
  • Participation in university and community activities
  • Demonstration of leadership qualities
  • Interest in the human resources field  
To be considered for a scholarship, students must provide the following information:
  • A one page document answering the following questions:
    • Why are you pursuing a degree in HR?
    • What impact do you hope to make in 3 to 5 years from now in the HR field?
    • How will this scholarship help you achieve your goals? 
  • Current resume  (Note: Please include school activities, organizations, community involvement, honors, awards, certificates, and leadership involvement)
  • Transcript (official or unofficial)

All scholarship applications must be submitted by February 1, 2024 to be considered.  Application materials should be sent as 1 pdf file to  chapteradmin@gmashrm.org.  By submitting your application, you agree to the certification and acknowledgement statement below:
 
GMA SHRM has the sole responsibility for selecting recipients based on criteria as set forth in the scholarship guidelines.  This application becomes property of GMA SHRM.  GMA SHRM recommends you keep a copy in your files. By electronically submitting this application, I acknowledge decisions of GMA SHRM are final.  I certify that I meet the basic eligibility requirements of the program as described in the brochure and the information provided is complete and accurate to the best of my knowledge.  If requested, I agree to provide proof of information I have given on this form.  Falsification of information may result in termination of any scholarship granted.
 
All applicants will be notified by April 12, 2024.   Scholarship payments will be made directly to the student.
