Welcome,
On behalf of the 2011-2012 Board of Directors, welcome to the Greater Madison Area Society for Human Resource Management, a Silver Award winner in 2010 and a dynamic organization of more than 750 dedicated HR professionals.
We offer opportunities to heighten your awareness of current issues facing the HR profession and build your professional network. Some examples of tools and resources we offer are:
COMPENSATION SURVEY - We partner with Enetrix, a Gallup company to conduct and publish the Compensation Survey to help members recruit and retain valuable employees.
SEMINARS – GMA SHRM offers seminars that address topics such as violence in the workplace, diversity, employee relations, recruiting and retention, current legislative topics, and much more.
MONTHLY NEWSLETTER - Each member also receives a monthly newsletter highlighting events, HR issues and members.
MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY - To make networking easy, GMA SHRM maintains an online membership roster with pertinent data about fellow members. Current members can access the directory and add/edit their profile at any time.
EDUCATION & DEVELOPMENT – Offer resources to members pursuing their PHR, SPHR or GPHR through the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI). Offer scholarships to members looking to further their education.
WORKFORCE READINESS & DIVERSITY – Partner with local schools and community organizations by offering workshops to assist with skills related to resume writing, interviewing or similar topics.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES – A great opportunity for our members to get involved and build their professional networks!
WEBSITE - To surf for information, learn about events, or discover job opportunities, members can visit our website as a resource. We now have social media links through GMA SHRM such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, check out or follow us for additional tidbits of information and news.
Please feel free to contact me or one of the other Board members if we can be of further assistance to you.
Best Regards,
Mike Leibundgut, SPHR
