GMA SHRM HR RoundtableMental Health Accommodations in the WorkplacePROGRAM IS FULL
Presentation DescriptionHuman Resources Professionals have become accustomed to accommodating employees with physical work restrictions. But what about employees with mental health diagnoses requiring accommodation? A new generation of workers is entering the workforce having been diagnosed with ADHD and other mental health diagnoses as school children. They are open with their diagnosis and have an expectation that they will receive accommodations in the workplace to succeed just as they have had in school. More adults are seeking treatment and counseling for mental health issues they may experience and they are also more aware of their rights. How have you been accommodating your workforce who has mental health diagnoses? Our FacilitatorsMary Jo Spiekerman, is Vice President of Human Resources at Hausmann-Johnson Insurance, Inc. in Madison. She leads the Human Resources Consulting Practice.
