These speakers will be asked to provide either a 75-minute breakout session or 60-minute keynote presentation.

You can find the topics for all available speaking opportunities below. In the survey you will select the dates you are available to speak and we will combine topics as the Programming Team sees best fitting for our chapter.

                        ii.     Compensation; Retention
iii.      Recruitment; Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
                        iv.     Safety/Risk Management; Insurance

We invite you to apply by completing our new Call for Proposal Survey by Friday, September 16, 2022. This new survey will make the review process faster and more efficient. In the survey you should describe your proposed program and explain how your program matches our programming priorities as identified in the topics above.

If you are selected as a speaker, you will be expected to:
  • Provide a takeaway deliverable such as a tool kit, exercise, or practical resource that participants can take back to work with them and implement.
  • Tailor your speech to an HR audience. Your information should add value by serving the HR professional, advancing the HR profession, or growing the organization.
  • Include clear session objectives, case studies, success stories, relevant supporting research, or other data to showcase the practical application of HR concepts, interventions, or new strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate details, equipment needs, and other set-up accommodations with assistance from GMA SHRM’s Programming Committee.
  • Provide session materials in a timely manner for distribution to attendees in a written or electronic format.
  • Ensure your presentation is objective, unbiased, and does not contain a sales pitch of yourself or your organization.
If your proposal best meets our programming needs, we will contact you by December 1, 2022 to discuss the details of your event. Thank you for your interest in sharing your knowledge with GMA SHRM. We look forward to hearing from you!
