Co-Chairs of the Solo HR Group for almost two years; the Solo HR group has been in existence for 4+ years.
 

Presentation Description

Being a Solo HR Practitioner in a small or medium-size organization or in a small HR team of three or less people can be a challenge.  Come learn about how a Solo HR Group that meets monthly and emails daily on issues and challenges may be just what you’re looking for to help you build a network of colleagues from a variety of organizations who can share knowledge, seek advice, provide support and tangible resources for one another.  We have had a successful group of 32 members going strong for four+ years, and are looking to either expand or create a new group that can benefit from teaming with others that are in the same boat as you.  Please bring an item or two that is challenging for you at the moment to discuss.

Our Facilitators

Kathy is Human Resources Director for First Weber Group in Madison and supports 40 offices statewide which include 3 entities, 670 Realtors, and 125 staff employees.  She has over 27 years of human resource management and generalist experience in the real estate, biotech, manufacturing, broadcast, and civil engineering industries. She has her Associate’s Degree in Business Administration-Human Resources from Western Technical College, holds the PHR Certification and SHRM-CP Certification, and recently began volunteering on both the Programming Committee and the Technology and Social Media Committee for GMA SHRM.
 

Mary Jo is Vice President of Human Resources at Hausmann-Johnson Insurance, Inc. in Madison, Wisconsin where she leads the Human Resources Consulting Practice. She has over 20 years of management and human resources experience in the banking, insurance, healthcare and professional services industries. She is a graduate of Marion University of Fond du Lac with a degree in Business Administration and Human Relations. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Human Resources Certification Institute, a Senior Certified Professional by the Society for Human Resources Management and a Managed Healthcare Professional by America’s Health Insurance Plans.
