Session 2:  Creating an Engaged Workforce in Times of Constant Disruption

The numbers are in: The 2016 SHRM annual survey found that 81% of organizations had employee recognition programs, and 60% of those program were tied to organizational values. Companies with recognition programs not tied to values, companies with values-based recognition programs perceived a:
  • 17% increase in employee retention (71% vs. 54%)
  • 21% increase in attracting new talent (50% vs 29%)
  • 23% increase in productivity (75% vs. 52%)
  • 31% increase in learning and development goals (56% vs. 25%)
… over companies with programs not tied to values.

Connection with values is an important way your organization can distinguish itself in this competitive market.  This highly interactive session teaches essential skills to identify your employees’ personal core values and mindfully connect them to your organizational values to enhance employee engagement, retention and workplace culture.

Participants will learn to:
  • Leverage individual values to reinforce organizational values, and vice versa
  • Enhance trust, communication, and prevent and resolve conflict
  • Build stronger organizational culture that attracts and retains happy, engaged employees.
Never in human history have employees been able to provide their organizations with so much value. That means engaging employees has become more important than ever. Yet, there are forces that are making engagement more and more elusive to attain. This presentation is designed to help leaders understand the challenges of creating and sustaining an engaged workforce and provide the tools necessary to create high levels of engagement.

Attendees will:
  • Learn about the current state of employee engagement.
  • Discover how rapidly changing technologies threaten the way we work and engage employees
  • Better understand how leaders can mitigate these external factors and create engagement in unprecedented times of change
