Session 1

In this interactive session, we will focus on how to find the right people for your company as well as for the role you are hiring for. With today's tough hiring climate, it can be far too easy to want to fill roles quickly when you really need the personnel! However, sometimes that causes us to overlook cultural and team fit and focus more on the skillsets of the individual and their role fit. Join us for this session and walk away with actionable takeaways you can implement immediately!

Participants will learn:

  • To identify how to define or refine what your company culture looks like.

  • To gain insight on how a candidate could fit into your team & culture.

  • To understand potential modifications to your interview and vetting process to improve cultural fit.

  • To leverage your focus on culture to attract top talent.

Session 2

Unpopular opinion: Conflict can be a good thing. Don’t agree? That’s ok!

Join culture aficionado, Diana Pastrana, as she helps reframe how you think about conflict dynamics and communication styles to help you manage your team and improve employee engagement. Learn about how diverse teams engage and how inclusion can change the outcomes of conflict. Whether you’re a leader who shies away from discord, or there are unresolved issues within your core group, Diana will share actionable activities to help move you in the right direction! You’ll learn about conflict quadrants and how to get to your team to an ideal state with tactics to improve productivity and innovation.

Participants will learn:
  • How people handle conflict is very diverse.
  • How teams manage that diversity is going to define their success.
  • Good conflict management is the best way to be more inclusive!
  • We can use conflict to fuel innovation in a safe and productive way.
