Greetings Prospective Presenters/Speakers! 

Call for Proposal Online Submission

Proposals Due September 13, 2024

Proposals can be submitted after the deadline but proposals received by deadline will be the first reviewed by the committee.

The Greater Madison Area Society for Human Resource Management (GMA SHRM) is in search of speakers to provide two-hour presentations during our 2025 Professional Development Summits (PDS). 

You can find the topics for all available speaking opportunities below. In the survey you will select the dates you are available to speak and we will combine topics as the Programming Team sees best fitting for our chapter.

12.            Employee Investigations, Discipline, and Discharge

We invite you to apply by completing our online Call for Proposal Survey by September 13, 2024. In the survey you should describe your proposed program and explain how your program matches our programming priorities as identified in the topics above.


If you are selected as a speaker, you will be expected to:
  • Provide a takeaway deliverable such as a tool kit, exercise, or practical resource that participants can take back to work with them and implement.
  • Tailor your speech to an HR audience. Your information should add value by serving the HR professional, advancing the HR profession, or growing the organization.
  • Include clear session objectives, case studies, success stories, relevant supporting research, or other data to showcase the practical application of HR concepts, interventions, or new strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate details, equipment needs, and other set-up accommodations with assistance from GMA SHRM’s Programming Committee.
  • Provide session materials in a timely manner for distribution to attendees in a written or electronic format.
  • Ensure your presentation is objective, unbiased, and does not contain a sales pitch of yourself or your organization.
