Presentation DescriptionHave all of the political ads and hoopla made your head spin? Gain insight into how certain legislators, if elected (or reelected) may have an impact on human resources issues, and know what legislative seats to watch this November. Also get a nuts and bolts refresher on how legislative proposals become law and answer the question “what ever happened to that one bill that I never heard about again?”

Jessica Kramer, Erhard & Payette, LLC Jessica has been an instructor at the University of Phoenix Madison campus and a guest instructor at the University of Wisconsin Law School. Jessica also enjoys giving presentations and writing articles for publication regarding relevant legal and business topics. Jessica is a member of the Government Affairs Committee for the Greater Madison Area chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). Jessica has been active as a volunteer with National Multiple Sclerosis Society-Wisconsin Chapter for over 10 years, as a member of the Government Relations Committee, and has been participating in Walk MS for 12 years. She enjoys advocating on behalf of those with MS helping educate others on the legislative process and advocacy. A Wisconsin native, Jessica is an avid fan of the Packers, Badgers, and Brewers.

Larry W. (Chip) Hunter He has published numerous articles on work organization in the service sector, in settings ranging from long-term nursing care to retail banking to telephone call centers. Hunter was named Outstanding Young Scholar by the Labor and Employment Relations Association in 2001.
He received his Ph.D. from the Sloan School of Management, M.I.T., where he studied human resource management and industrial relations.
