Presentation Description

Have you experienced any of these succession planning pitfalls?
  • Hours of time is spent on developing a succession plan only to have it placed on the shelf and gather dust for the next 12 months?
  • Succession planning is driven by HR without support of the rest of the leadership team?
  • You need a succession plan but don’t know where to start or how to implement on a tight budget?
  • The belief that succession planning is only for large companies?

This session will give you the tools and templates to “add arms and legs” to your succession plan leading to targeted development of your top talent.  You will learn how to complete a turnover risk analysis, a leadership assessment, and Individual Development Plans.  We will also discuss how to communicate and get commitment in the succession planning process and outcomes.

Attendees of this program will:

  1. Learn how to engage management’s commitment and involvement
  2. Learn how to use tools such as a turnover risk analysis and leadership assessment to identify risk areas and high potentials.
  3. Learn how to use the succession plan to develop top talent through the use of an individualized development plan (IDP).
  4. Learn how to engage key talent with the IDP
