You just finished Annual Enrollment (Whew!), another year before your have to think about benefits enrollment, right? Now is the time to focus on your next enrollment – yes, one-year in advance.
Here are some questions to think about?
How did enrollment meetings flow? Were the meetings to long/short? Did you remember to present everything you wanted to communicate to employees? What should you focus on when communicating with employees?
What took place during the benefits renewal process? What items were brought to light during this year’s renewal process that you need to address prior to your next renewal? Is your company offering the right benefits based on the company’s strategy? What is taking place elsewhere in the market place?
Are you working with the correct vendors? Are the vendors answering your company’s needs?
Did your company incur hefty increases? What steps could your company implement to lessen the increase (if possible) during the next renewal process?
What feedback did you receive from employees during enrollment meetings?
What processes can you put into place now to improve the enrollment process for next year?
When should you be thinking of all these things?
The March GMA S HRM PEG will explore these questions and offer suggestions for human resource professionals to be better prepared for the next annual enrollment period. This will be an open forum lead by a facilitator, Matt Boray from M3 Insurance Solutions, for you and fellow human resources professionals to share ideas, successes, and failures.
