Morning Keynote:  Art Jackson - Performance Maximizing Leadership

Art Jackson is a professional speaker, executive coach and the President of Eagles Nest Performance Management, Inc. He is a recognized expert in the areas of leadership, performance improvement and interpersonal skills. Art is the originator of the Purpose Centered Leadership™ system that has been used to improve performance in many facets of public and private life.
Art is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and a Master of Science degree in Management. Art is presently earning a Master of Theology degree.
Art is currently an adjunct professor at the USDA Graduate School; Conducts strategic planning for the Department of Homeland Security; and presents leadership training for members of the US Central Intelligence Agency.
Art is the author of the diversity and inclusion book “Lions and Tigers and Bears – Oh My” and is completing his second book entitled “Hangin’ Round The Barrel – How To Get Paid Everything You’re Worth and Be Worth Everything You’re Paid”.

a frequent speaker and is a Fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel.

Afternoon Keynote:  Seth Mattison - The M-Factor: How the Millennial Generation is Rocking the Workplace

Seth Mattison is a young writer and a fresh new face on the speaking circuit. His primary interest is in workforce trends and his generation—the Millennials. His presentations focus on the generational divide between younger and older generations and how bridging the gaps can infuse new ideas and energy into organizations everywhere. Seth works with executives across the country to help them understand how they can best maximize their young talent, as well as maintain connections with their experienced workforce, to drive innovation and sustainability.
As one of the millions of Millennials/Gen Yers around the world trying to make an impact in their communities and companies, Seth helps organizations deal with the challenges of effectively recruiting, managing, and retaining top young talent. His success is driven by his unique ability to communicate and connect with all four generations to help them better understand not only their differences, but their commonalities, thus creating engaging environments for employees, customers and members.
Seth successfully launched his first company during his senior year at the University of
Wisconsin–Stout, where he majored in Business and was captain of the football team. He recently joined forces with BridgeWorks, LLC—a company dedicated to bridging generation gaps at work—where he will be a featured speaker. In this role, he will continue to help organizations narrow generational divides through use of BridgeWorks’ suite of services which includes keynotes speeches, workshops and seminars, trainer certification, and TimesFour, a corporate entertainment show that unites comedy with education.

2-B Who's to Blame? HR's role in mending the organizational "fault" line, Dan Linssen

Dan is author of the recently released book Who’s to Blame? Living along society’s “fault” line. (see www.whostoblame.net) After a 30-year business career culminating as VP of Operations for a national container-logistics company, Dan spent two years as a full-time Business Administration faculty member at University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, where he developed and taught the senior seminar in Human Resource Management along with other courses. The following year he served as guest lecturer in the international graduate program at Bordeaux School of Management in France where he taught contemporary issues in HRM. Today Dan advocates for reducing blame in the workplace, the family, and society, through public speaking and organizational consulting. He writes a weekly column in the Green Bay Press Gazette and has recently been featured on Wisconsin Public Radio and KLAA Radio in Los Angeles. Dan also serves on the Board of Directors of the Green Bay Symphony Orchestra and is involved in numerous community improvement projects.

Jennifer has extensive experience representing clients in all aspects of employment relations, including wage and hour issues, discrimination, Family and Medical Leave, reductions in force, harassment, hiring, discipline, and terminations. She has successfully litigated numerous matters and has been hired to conduct several workplace investigations. Jennifer also has extensive experience drafting employment contracts, non-competition agreements, compensation plans, and employee handbooks.
Jennifer is a sought out speaker on numerous human resources issues and conducts human resources and management trainings for clients of all sizes.

Jeffrey Russell, co-director of Russell Consulting, Inc., specializes in helping organizations achieve great performance while successfully responding to the challenges of change. With a focus on leadership, strategic thinking, and leading change, Jeff has worked with organizations as diverse as Fortune 500 firms, public sector organizations, and small family businesses. Jeff received his Masters in Industrial Relations from the UW-Madison. It is at UW-Madison where he serves as an adjunct faculty member for the Wisconsin Certified Public Manager Program, Small Business Development Center, Engineering Professional Development in the School of Engineering, and Master of Engineering in Professional Practice (MEPP) program. He also teaches at the UW campuses of Milwaukee, Green Bay, and La Crosse.
Jeff is a frequent presenter at local, national, and international conferences. He has presented at the 2001 through 2011 International American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) Conferences, Jamaica Employers Federation Conventions, Wisconsin Society for Human Resource Management Conferences, National Conference of the American Society for Public Administration, Minnesota Project Management Institute’s Professional Development Days, and Minnesota Quality Conference.
 
   

3-B Valuing Human Capital on the Balance Sheet, Cathy Welsh

Cathy Leads the Executive Coaching practice for Lee Hecht Harrison ins the Midwest Region.  In this role, she is responsible for working with major complanies to support their leadership development activities.  Prior to joining LHH, Cathy was President and General Manager of a $150M Information Technology professional services organization.  Through her ability to quickly assess organizations and markets, she was able to provide value to clients and achieve excellent financial results within her areas of responsibility.  Much of Cathy's success is the result of her ability to assess and develop people and to align their skills to the financial and organizational nees of the business.
Cathy has held senior leadership positions at Heller Financial, GE, Coopers & Lybrand and Federal Home Loan Bank.  She holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School at Northwestern University and is a board member for the Les Turner ALS Foundation in Chicago.
